The 1st year doctoral student of the educational program 8D05301 – "Chemistry" Artamonov Yuri conducts research on the development of new sorbents based on polymer hydrogels and cryogels for the purification of natural waters from radioactive pollutants.  Hydrogels and cryogels based on polymers of various nature and type have been synthesized in the laboratories of the Scientific Center for Radioecological Research of Shakarim University and the Department of Chemical Technology and Ecology under the guidance of PhD Klivenko A.N.  In the future, it is planned to evaluate the effectiveness of synthesized polymer gels in the processes of selective sorption of radionuclides.
